Certified Personal Trainer Exam (CPTE)
Imagine being able to take a nationally accredited exam over the internet at your own convenience without jeopardizing the security or integrity of the exam! That is exactly what Smart Fitness allows you to do.
There is currently an industry standard for personal training certification. As of 2005, the International Health, Racquet & Sports club Association (IRHSA) recommended that all health clubs only employ personal trainers with a degree in the fitness field or, be certified by a certification that has been approved by the National Organization of Competency Assurances (NOCA) now called the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE).
The exam you'll take in the NCCPT Personal Trainer Certification program was evaluated by a board of subject matter experts, blueprinted by hundreds of personal trainers all over the country and evaluated by an independent psychometric company for validity. It is safe to say our exam was designed to determine competency levels for the entry level personal trainer to enter the job force.
You are allowed up to three attempts in a 12-month period to pass the exam. View the videos; take the quizzes, pass the exam and you can rest assure you'll be a head above the others as you start your career as a Personal Trainer!
Sales Training
As an additional value, Smart Fitness has partnered with Jeffrey Gitomer, the best-selling author of The Sales Bible. As a Smart Fitness client you'll have access to innovative, award-winning online and classroom training products in Sales, Attitude, and Customer Loyalty, based on the work of Jeffrey Gitomer.
Continuing Education
The industry standard for nationally accredited personal training certifications is two years. Your personal trainer certification will remain valid for two years from the date you passed your exam.
In order to maintain your certification you must complete 20 hours of continuing education (or CEU's) within the two year period that you are certified. Smart Fitness University provides a portal where you may conveniently obtain all the CEU's needed to maintain your certification. Please refer to the client handbook for more information regarding continuing education.
